Introduction
This section highlights several types of agrivoltaic options related to ecosystem services that include siting considerations, ecological impacts of dual-use sites, construction methods and habitat restoration strategies. (km) southwest of Karratha, Western Australia (WA). This will generate electricity from a large scale solar photovoltaic farm (Solar PV Farm), complemented by ene gy storage (battery) infrastructure (the Proposal). The Proposal will supply renewable energy for use by industrial customers, expected. Ground-based, utility-scale solar panel installations used for electricity generation of 1 MW or greater are commonly referred to as ‘solar farms’ (US Energy Information Administration, 2020). The purpose of the solar farm is to generate and sell electricity, therefore it is key that the. Ecosystem management focuses on sustaining and restoring ecosystem health while balancing ecological, economic and social needs. By recognizing the interconnectedness of natural systems and human activities, the integrity and resilience of ecosystems can persevere in the face of challenges like. This Environmental Management Plan is drafted with the aim of serving as a tool to reduce the environmental impact of constructing a Photovoltaic Facility with SOLTEC solar trackers. The Environmental Management Plan complies with SOLTEC’s environmental policy and includes applicable objectives. This section highlights several types of agrivoltaic options related to ecosystem services that include siting considerations, ecological impacts of dual-use sites, construction methods and habitat restoration strategies. One type focuses on ecologically focused siting, construction, and vegetation. Solar photovoltaic (PV) systems are installed in open areas to capture solar energy. PV modules are the major component exposed to extreme conditions such as wind, hail, lightning, high temperatures, wildfire, and floods over their 25–30-year lifespan (Okonkwo et al. 2025, Bošnjaković et al. 2023.
