Introduction
Recent notable developments concerning the hydrogen storage materials are summarized in this review, with particular emphasis placed on magnesium hydrides, titanium- and calcium-based hydrides, metal borohydrides, and perovskite-type hydrides. The Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office's (HFTO's) applied materials-based hydrogen storage technology research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) activities focus on developing materials and systems that have the potential to meet U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) 2020 light-duty vehicle.
